Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka has expressed his confidence that Jubilee Party shall win 2017 polls in Western region despite being perceived as an opposition stronghold.
Lusaka who had accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto during their first day tour in the region lauded Jubilee administration’s development record in the region.
“We are working day and night to ensure our people knows what the government is doing to uplift them social-economically. So far you have done well in our place,” he said.
“I am sure that our people are tired of politics of rhetoric and they will make a change in 2017. This is a solid Jubilee zone and it is only time will tell,” he added.
The former Permanent Secretary is the only high profile leader from Western region who is solidly behind President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid.
