Former Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Western Stima took control of the National Super League (NSL) standings with a resounding 4-1 win over Administration Police (AP).

The match played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu Wednesday afternoon, saw AP play at the venue for the second time in less than two weeks after recently being beaten 1-0 by Kisumu All Stars at the stadium.

John Mwita, James Ogada, Dan Otie, John Oruko were on target for Stima against the security officers.The team led by Ugandan tactician Richard Makumi now lead NSL standings with 23 points from ten games.

Stima has won 7 games, lost one and drawn two games. They suffered the lone loss against Nairobi’s Kibera Black Stars.

The Power men’s season is taking shape as the team continues determination of re-joining KPL, one year after being relegated alongside Muhoroni Youth.

Stima will next face Kisumu County Sponsored Kisumu All Stars at the Moi Stadium on Sunday, in the teams’ first competitive meeting since the County side was formed towards the end of last year.

All-Stars will go into the game against Stima on the back of a 1-2 defeat against Coast-based Modern Coast Rangers on Tuesday.
