[Photo|Tim Wanyonyi]A total of 24 KCPE students from Nairobi's Westlands Constituency received their full-year school fees from the Tim Wanyonyi Foundation (TWF). Area MP Timothy Wanyonyi who led the event said the programme was his ongoing scholarship programme.The MP who is now in his 5th consecutive year as Westlands MP said the first beneficiaries of the programme completed their Form 4 last year."Most of the recipients of the scholarships are bright students from poor backgrounds whose parents are unable to pay their fees. Others are orphans," he said on Tuesday.Through TWF, the MP also offers full scholarship to the top two students (a boy and a girl) who manage to score 400+ in their KCPE from each public, primary school in Westlands Constituency. The MP said he would present cheques to the 24 beneficiaries on Wednesday, January 3.
