A section of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MCAs from different parts of Western region have faulted Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula for causing a storm in the National Super Alliance (NASA) as the opposition seeks to dethrone Jubilee.
Five Ward Representatives from Kakamega, Vihiga and Busia counties said Wetangula's remarks recent were likely to cost NASA the presidency.
Ben Ombima, Nuru Mohammed, Nathan Okila, Josephat Munayi and Cleophas Malala asked the Senator to focus on how to send President Uhuru Kenyatta home instead of lashing out at other leaders.
"Wetang’ula should focus his energy on wiping out Jubilee from his Bungoma county backyard instead of fighting fellow opposition leaders. We don’t care about the name of the united opposition as long as Jubilee is uprooted [from power],” Ombima said, as quoted by the Star.
His sentiments were backed by Mr Malala who said Wetangula does not know who will become the first President from the Luhya community.
“Wetang’ula should know that only God knows who will be the first Luhya President. It should not be Luhya leaders working against opposition unity when all Kenyans agree on the way forward,” he said.
Wetangulas has maintained that Ford Kenya is not part of NASA.
