Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and ODM blogger Robert Alai on Friday engaged in a heated online fight over who should be the Cord coalition's presidential flag bearer in the coming elections.

Alai accused the Senator of being a 'crying baby' all the time, saying that Wetangula was not doing enough to market the coalition at a time when Raila Odinga had hit the ground running.

He further added that Wetangula was busy blackmailing his co-principals in the coalition instead of going to the ground to seek support from the electorate.

"Raila is camping on the ground and doing grassroots campaign while Wetangula spends most of his time trying to blackmail co-principals. Then he says Raila should endorse him. Please stop embarrassing yourself," Alai said.

Alai further told the Cord co-principal to put his house in order first before he could think of becoming the president of Kenya.

The Senator was quick to respond to Alai saying that his statement (Alai) was pure 'ignorance and vitriol'.

"If you want to go personal, particularly on behalf of others bwana Alai, have facts, otherwise, you look like a poor actor in a bad play," said Wetangula.

This comes barely two days after Wetangula claimed that Raila has no realistic chances becoming the President of Kenya and that he (Raila) should instead support him (Wetangula).
