Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula has termed remarks by his deputy, Richard Onyonka 'unfortunate and disrespectful' to Raila Odinga.

Early this week, Onyonka recognized Presidency Uhuru Kenyatta despite NASA's claim that Odinga won elections.

At the party's headquarters on Thursday, Wetangula further insisted that Onyonka's remarks were personal views and not the stand of Ford Kenya.

"He is young and Raila was one of those who championed for his reelection. It is unfortunate that he supports Uhuru.

"I want to make it clear that those remarks were personal and should not be associated with our party. We strongly believe that he is out of order and we take responsibility," he added.

During the November's mini poll in Kitutu Chache South, Odinga sacrificed ODM candidate Samuel Omwando in favour of Onyonka.

But barely two months, NASA supporters argue, Onyonka's decision to back Uhuru should be handled by the coalition's disciplinary committee.
