Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula has launched a scathing attack against Deputy President William Ruto for calling himself a hustler.
According to Wetangula, it is wrong for Ruto to call himself a hustler yet he owns large tracts of lands while at the same time he has been buying property in various parts of the nation.
The Bungoma Senator questioned the source of Ruto wealth, adding that he needs to come out to clear his name.
"He has been calling himself a hustler. He has gone around the country buying hotels and land worth billions of shillings," Wetangula during his tour in Kwale, as quoted by Standard.
Wetangula and other leaders from the opposition have been criticizing DP Ruto leadership since he took over office.
National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have been calling for investigations to determine the source of Ruto’s wealth.
The leaders have asked residents of Coastal counties and other areas to be wary of Ruto incessant trips to the region ahead of the August polls.
On his part, Ruto has maintained that he made his wealth through hard work. The hustler tag has continued to attract mixed reactions from different leaders and Kenyans from all over the nation.
Ruto, who has declared interested in the nation’s presidency in 2022, has remained strong amidst accusations from the opposition.
