With the future of the Cord coalition looking to be on a tight rope amid tussle for the coalition's flag bearer ticket, Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula has denied claims that he has been hired by the Jubilee coalition to fuel discord in the opposition Cord coalition.
Wetangula who is also the Cord coalition co-principal has in the past one week been accused by ODM leadership and supporters alike over his remark on Raila Odinga.
While addressing a gathering in Narok last week, the Ford Kenya leader likened Raila to an infertile woman who cannot bear children in reference to his (Raila's) three failed bids to State House.
However, Wetangula has come out to defend himself over the remarks saying that he used imagery language which Raila's supporters have failed to understand is his strength.
"How can I rock a coalition I helped build? The allegory I used only underscores my mastery of the language, a skill I am blessed with. It's about richness of the language and the ability to capture one's thoughts effectively, something I am not about to stop," Wetangula was quoted by the Sunday Nation.
He further denies claims that he is not comfortable with Mudavadi joining the coalition as he would be overshadowed by the former deputy Prime Minster's presence.
He added that they share the same philosophies and that the door is open for Mudavadi.
