Cord co-principal Moses Wetangula has called on the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission to investigate Deputy President William Ruto's source of massive wealth.
According to the Bungoma senator, Ruto's salary cannot sustain his tendency to contribute millions of shillings in harambees every weekend.
“We know that DP Ruto’s salary does not exceed Ksh2 million. It is, therefore, odd that he can afford to give millions in harambees every weekend,” said Wetangula.
The senate minority leader was speaking at the Shauri Moyo PAG church in Nairobi on Sunday.
Wetangula's sentiments come at a time when Ruto raised Sh18 million in two days to assist churches.
The source of the money has been put into question with the opposition claiming that the funds comes from the taxpayer.
