Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has accused governor Ken Lusaka of using county resources to bankroll Jubilee Party campaigns and activities in Western Kenya.
Speaking on Friday during a meet-the-people tour, the lawmaker sensationally claimed that the County Chief has spent more than Ksh700million withdrawn from the county coffers to finance the ruling party's activities.
The Ford Kenya Party leader further called for a thorough probe into the matter, noting that public resources should be protected.
"This will ensure wananchi do not lose more money,’’ he said.
But in a quick rejoinder, Lusaka dismissed Wetangula's allegations, challenging the NASA co-principal to table evidence.
“I thought the senator is a learned lawyer who knows where to take these complaints if he has enough evidence instead of spreading lies and propaganda to wananchi who are now wise and will not believe him,” he said.
Governor Lusaka is Jubilee's Western Kenya pointman.
