Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula's journey to State House is proving not to be a walk in the park has he had thought.
Fresh from defending himself over accusations that he is plotting for the downfall of the Cord coalition due to his constant attacks on the coalition's supremo Raila Odinga, rebellion in his own Ford Kenya party is slowly setting in, a trend that may as well spell doom to his political career.
According to the party 'delegates', the Senate Minority leader is not keen to build the party which he intends to use as his venue to State House in the forthcoming poll.
Led by Ken Wafula, the delegates demanded that Wetangula calls for the party's delegates conference immediately even as he added that the former Sirisia MP is yet to be nominated by the party to be the flag bearer.
Just recently, Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka asked the Senator to forget becoming the country's fifth President saying his support is thin and concentrated just within Bungoma, an area that is slowly shifting to the Jubilee Party.
With his chances of being Cord flag bearer appearing remote, leadership wrangles in his own party and the slow encroachment of Jubilee Party into his Bungoma backyard, Wetangula's days as a formidable politician are numbered.
