The Ford-Kenya party leader, Moses Wetang'ula, has on Sunday revealed what he had to go through during the NASA summit meeting with senators.
The meeting held Thursday at Panafric hotel was to deliberate on Wetang'ula's fate as far as his ouster from Senate minority seat is concerned.
According to the Bungoma senator, all was not rosy at the meeting as he was subjected to all sorts of mistreatment by the ODM senators.
"On Thursday we had a meeting of the summit of NASA together with senators, Senators who are predominantly from the ODM party. in this meeting I thought that we were going the route that my brother Musalia and my brother Kalonzo had gone in re-affirming as my co-principals their unqualified support for me and their unqualified encouragement that things must be maintained within the status quo," said Mr. Wetang'ula.
However, speaking during a presser, the Bungoma senator said that all was not as he had anticipated but instead he got treated with scorn by the senators.
"Instead I was subjected to name-calling, I was subjected to the harassment I was subject to humiliation in the presence of my brother," explained Wetangula.
The disappointed senator said that not even ODM party leader defended him from humiliations by the senators.
"And when he stood up he said nothing about what had happened. I got a distinct impression that the statement being made in that meeting was orchestrated and rehearsed, rehearsed cleverly to embarrass and pour scorn on me," he claimed.
The senator vowed not to participate in the 2-weeks retreat requested by Raila Odinga as he said it was meaningless.
