Richard Onyonka's victory in Kitutu Chache South parliamentary seat has increased Moses Wetangula's stakes in NASA coalition, says Gideon Mamboleo.
Despite getting support from Raila Odinga, who also had an ODM candidate in the race, Onyonka scored 10, 122 votes which constututed 52 percent of votes cast.
And Mamboleo says Onyonka's reelection would boost Wetangula's stake in Gusii region ahead of 2022 presidential race.
"For Ford Kenya to win in populous Gusii region is a big boost for Wetangula. Odinga will not be in the race and I believe Onyonka will spearhead his agenda in Gusii.
"This will make things easier for him should he go for presidency. I honestly do not think Gusii people have a soft spot on William Ruto," he says.
Wiper candidate Andrew Maubi finished forth with 2000 votes while ANC's Justus Mochoge had 60 votes.
Out of the 13 constituencies in Nyamira and Kisii, Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper has one (Borabu), ODM of Odinga has none despite dominating in county leadership, Musalia Mudavadi's ANC has none while Ford Kenya now has two (Kitutu Chache South and West Mugirango)
