National Super Alliance co-principal Moses Wetangula on Saturday claimed that police officers attempted to assassinate him while welcoming Raila Odinga from a 10-day trip abroad.
The Bungoma Senator claimed that police shot at and stoned his vehicle with the intent of harming him.
"A police officer aimed a gun at my vehicle and opened fire shuttering all the rear passenger windows. A police officer threw stones at my vehicle," he said on Saturday.
Raila's vehicle was also reportedly stoned.
During the fracas, Kathiani MP Robert Mbui was injured after tear gas was fired at his vehicle.
He sustained injuries after being hit by another vehicle while running towards his vehicle.
Wetang'ula said that it was wishful thinking by Jubilee that NASA will disintegrate and allow it remain in power without validly being elected.
