Bungoma governor Kenneth Lusaka has poked holes into senator Moses Wetangula's presidential ambitions.
According to Lusaka, Wetangula does not stand a chance of leading the country because he has no numbers.
"Let's face it.Wetangula has remote or zero chances of getting the Cord ticket. It is a tall order and it is good to be realistic rather call than cheating ourselves",he said.
He added that the senate minority leader's fortunes have been dwindling thanks to many defections that have rocked his party.
"A man whose party fortunes are dwindling thanks to defections in the party. How many governors does he have? Those are the indicators. It is painful but the truth must be told. The other day he was busy waving to the trees and birds in Kakamega because people failed to attend his function," he said.
Wetangula is embroiled in a tough fight with his co-principals Raila Odinga (ODM) and Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) for the Cord ticket ahead of the next general election.
