Opposition principal, Moses Wetangula, has made his intervention in the wake of raging debate on carnage on Kenya's roads.Wetangula has lashed out at the National Transport Authority boss, Francis Mejja.

The Bungoma Senator contends that Mejja has spectacularly failed in making Kenyan roads safe.

''The director justifying his officer's actions is reckless. He should be sacked because he is unable to handle his responsibilities.'' Wetangula said.The NTSA director has come under heavy criticism lately following a series of road crashes that have resulted in deaths.

In a series of interviews, he has been at pains to defend the authority, saying that the authority on its own cannot reduce road carnage.

He has asked Kenyans to get involved.
