Bungoma Senator and opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Moses Wetangula has been requested to cross over to the ruling Jubilee Party.
Speaking during a senate parliamentary sitting on Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen called upon the Senator to join the government at a time when NASA is facing a unity test.
With the Ford Kenya party leader currently facing a possible eviction from his Senate Minority Leader boss post, a push that has been initiated by the Orange Democratic Party (ODM), Murkomen promised the leader better treatment in Jubilee.
"ODM seems so determined to unseat and humiliate you. Its time you considered crossing over to our side," said Murkomen.
In a rejoinder, however, Wetangula maintained that he will not denounce his stay in the alliance, vowing to stay put despite the onslaught.
He maintained that he has contributed to the existence and running of the 4-party alliance, saying that he is entitled to a stake in the coalition.
"Nobody invited me to NASA, I am here not on anyone's favour but as a founder of the coalition," he said.
The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga-led Orange party is the largest in NASA and has been facing accusations of misusing the power by mistreating and downplaying the remaining Wiper, Amani National Congress (ANC) and Ford Kenya parties.
