Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula says Jubilee top leadership on Wednesday instructed its MPs to assault MPs Millie Odhiambo and Gladys Wanga should they bring ‘chaos’ on Thursday’s sitting.
Odhiambo (Mbita) and Wanga (Homa Bay) led a group of opposition MPs on Tuesday to block Speaker Justin Muturi’s procession to the house.
And on Thursday, Wetangula claimed that he had been tipped by a Jubilee MP that the two were chief targets of Jubilee administration.
“Jubilee government planned to attack Millie and Gladys today (Thursday) during debate. I am well tipped by a Jubilee legislator and this is sad,” he said.
“Planning to assault members is one of the most disappointing acts in the history of our parliament. The President is leaving behind a bad legacy by resorting to dictatorship,” he added.
Opposition MPs walked out of parliament on Thursday morning, accusing the house leadership of ‘not ready’ for debate.
