Speaking at Ebululwe Primary School on Friday, Toboso said the meetings were meant for 'like-minded people who are loyal to ODM' and that Wetangula and Kalonzo should not dare grace these meetings.

"Kakamega county's Butere, Khwisero, Lurambi, Navakholo and Lugari constituencies are purely an ODM in-house affair. We shall then tour Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties to popularise our party. Then, let Ford Kenya for example concentrate in pushing Jubilee out of Bungoma rather than crushing in the ODM calendar," Toboso was quoted by the Standard.

He was also quick to say that some leaders were using ODM coalition to campaign for their own parties.

"We know there are fishy elements who want to infiltrate in the ranks on the coalition's name. We want tried, tested and trusted leaders. That's why we will go it alone in the nominations as a party and not under the coalition," he added.

The latest sentiment from the Butere legislator raises question marks as to whether the Cord coalition will stick together ahead of the 2017 poll or is headed for a break up.
