Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula have said that they are ready to work with Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking during the Wiper party’s national delegate conference at the Kasarani Stadium on Tuesday, Khwalale said that Ford Kenya leaders are willing to support Kalonzo if he is chosen to go for the top seat during the next general elections.
On his part, Kalonzo insisted that he is ready to deliver the seat if given the mandate. The former vice president also said that he is no longer ready to wait longer to vie for Presidency.
"I was ready in 2002 when Raila Odinga and I were campaigning for former President Mwai Kibaki. But I decided to be patient. It is time for to go that seat. I have bitten the bullet for close to ten years," Kalonzo said, as quote by the Star.
The Cord co- principal further pointed out that he and cord leader Raila Odinga have been betrayed for too long. "I say this with a lot of tears in my heart. Raila and I have been betrayed for a very long time...and that must change. We have to come up with a new strategy to beat Jubilee," Kalonzo said.
