Three weeks ago Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula took a swipe at Deputy President William Ruto over his remarks that opposition outfit NASA will split before the August 8 elections.

Speaking after a church service in Kisii county,  Wetang'ula likened Ruto to a 'hyena' spreading propaganda meant to create divisions among NASA supporters for Jubilee to gain political mileage.

“Ruto is suffering from the hyena syndrome. He is like a hyena following us all the way salivating as he waits to see if a hand falls for him to eat,” Wetang’ula said on Sunday.

Wetang'ula was infuriated by the DP's continued attacks on the alliance that is yet to name its flag bearer less than three months to the elections.

The Ford Kenya leader said the coalition does not feel the pressure to name a presidential flag bearer, telling off Jubilee leaders to keep off NASA affairs.

“There is enough time and nobody should dictate to us the choice of the NASA flagbearer. Jubilee leaders should deal with their own problems and let us be,” Wetang'ula said.

The Senator challenged his colleagues Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) to remain focused on the prize, which is removing Jubilee from power in the forthcoming polls.

“We are partners and at the same time competitors within the alliance, but we must remain focused and determined to achieve our goal of sending home President Kenyatta and his deputy Ruto,”  he added.
