[Photo|Parliament of Kenya]The Senate leadership and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Kenya to UNESCO, Prof George Godia held discussions ranging on governance, education, promotion of culture and access to safe water and sanitation facilities on Thursday.The engagement took place when the Senate delegation, led by Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka called on Prof. Godia at the UNESCO Kenya Office in Paris.The Kenyan Senate delegation led by Lusaka, comprises of Senate Majority Leader Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Senate Minority Leader Senator Moses Wetangula, and Senate Majority Whip, Senator Susan Kihika, is on a learning tour at the Sénat du France (Senate of France).They would visit the House of Lords in the United Kingdom on Thursday, January 25, learning how it works and relates with the House of Commons. Through experiential learning, they will also share best practices in execution of their mandates, being drawn from the Commonwealth.
