Bungoma senator Moses wetangula has hit out at Jubilee leaders in Bungoma, who organised President Uhuru Kenyatta’s campaign rally in the region.
Wetangula took on social media to criticise thm for ferrying supporters from different parts of the country to attend the rally.
The National Super Alliance (Nasa) co-principal further criticised Education cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i for allowing school buses to be used to ferry the supporters.
His claims come after photos of some of the people that attended the rally in Bungoma went viral showing them camping at the office of Bungoma governor, Ken Lusaka, demanding for their pay.
Lusaka quickly responded to wetangula’s allegation. He claimed he (Wetangula) was the one who transported people to attend Ford Kenya rally in Bungoma.
Below are reactions of the two leaders:
"Sen.Moses Wetang'ula @Wetangulam Jun 11 The rented crowd for Jubilee Bungoma rally stranded after brokers cheated them. Pole sana.
Sen.Moses Wetang'ula @Wetangulam Jun 11 Cs Matiangi, 70 school buses were used to ferry rented crowds to Jubilee (Uhuru/Ruto) rally in bungoma. Where is your ban?
Ken Lusaka @Ken_Lusaka Replying to @Wetangulam
Just because 2 weeks ago, you were transporting people from outside Bungoma to your farcical rally, now you imagine everyone does the same!"
