A major political showdown is looming between Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and newly elected Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka.
This follows a decision by Lusaka to block Wetang'ula from assuming the role of Leader of Minority on grounds that the lawmaker was not procedurally nominated.
However, in a quick rejoinder, Wetang'ula dismissed Lusaka, accusing the Speaker of political witch-hunt.
The NASA co-principal further remarked that the decision reached by Lusaka did not take him by surprise, revealing that plot was hatched long time ago.
“We in Nasa already knew what they were planning, even before it came out. It is a matter that Mr Lusaka has been discussing in bars,” he said.
“The Speaker cannot micromanage Nasa. We operate within the structures of Nasa that allow us to work together. The schemes by these doomsday conspirators will not succeed. They will not manage us. We are ahead of the game and they are always playing catch-up,” he added.
