Musikari Kombo, the former Minister for Local Government has criticised Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi for supporting Raila Odinga for President.
Kombo says the two disappointed members of the Luhya community by making the move.
The ex-minister said that the Ford Kenya and ANC leader betrayed the community by abandoning their presidential ambitions to support ODM leader Odinga.
"We were excited when the two leaders announced their bids which meant that the community would be closer to power, and we knew we would have been supported but we now see this as a betrayal since they gave us false hope," Kombo said in Webuye on Monday, as reported by The Standard. The chairman of the Board of Trustees of Water Services Trust Fund said Wetang'ula had given the community false hope by launching his bid only to beat a retreat to defend his Senate seat.
