Former Local Government minister Musikari Kombo has pointed a finger at Opposition leaders Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang'ula over what he called disappointing residents of Western region.
Speaking in Webuye on Monday, Kombo said the duo betrayed the Luhya community by deciding to shelve their presidential bids in support of Orange party leader Raila Odinga.
"We were excited when the two leaders announced their bids which meant that the community would be closer to power, and we knew we would have been supported but we now see this as a betrayal since they gave us false hope," Kombo said.
Kombo said Wetang'ula had given the community a false ray hope by launching his bid but still retreating to defend his Senate seat.
