ANC Nominated Member of Parliament Godfrey Osotsi has hit out at NASA co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Ford-Kenya leader Moses Wetangula over a plan to merge their two political parties.
According to Mr. Osotsi, the move is desperate, adding that it would only confuse the Luhya community.
“We have been suffering because of poor leadership. After every election our leaders start calling for Luhya unity but during the election everyone goes his own direction,” said Osotsi.
He was speaking during Easter celebrations in Sabatia.
Mr. Osotsi asked Mudavadi and Wetangula to reconcile with ODM leader Raila Odinga since their political survival hangs on the opposition leader’s coat.
The lawmaker further stated that Luhya unity should involve all other parties in the region and not just Wetangula’s Ford Kenya and Mudavadi’s ANC.
