Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula has challenged investigative agencies to investigate Deputy President William Ruto’s source of wealth.
On Sunday, Wetangula suspected the amount of money dished out by the DP in various Harambees adding that it could be sourced out of taxpayers.
The DP has been a key figure in attending various harambees across the country, a move that has not gone down well with the opposition.
“Ruto has always attended several harambees dishing millions of shillings in a single week. I do not think he is such rich to donate such amount of money,” he said in Nyamira.
“The investigative agencies should take this as an urgent matter and investigate him so that we know the truth. He could be using taxpayers’ money at the expense of poor Kenyans,” he added.
Ruto has previously dismissed such claims, challenging the opposition team to mind its businesses.
