A motion has been fronted by 16 Nasa senators in move to replace him with his Siaya counterpart and lawyer James Orengo.

"If anyone wants to divorce it will be noisy, messy, and unhelpful and it will havecausalities. I'm not going anywhere. I was not invited to NASA but I'm a founder,"Wetang'ula said

Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka confirmed to senators that he had received a letter from Minority Whip Mutula Kilonzo who is also Makueni Senator.Mutula informed  him of the decision, which was allegedly crafted by Raila Odinga led ODM.

"The removal of Senator Moses Wetang’ula as Senate Minority Leader though valid, stands suspended and will not take effect unless and until a Senator has been elected by the NASA Coalition in the manner provided by Standing Order 20(1) has occurred and the communication to that effect together with the minutes evidencing that decision has been made in writing, to my office by the Senate Minority," speaker Lusaka ruled.

Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua came to the defence of Bungoma senator where he said that ODM cannot purport to fire a leader they did not hire.He said NASA will remain even if ODM bolts out.
