Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetang'ula has criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta for setting 'conditions' for engaging in dialogue with the National Super Alliance (NASA).

This after the Head of State ruled out engaging the opposition in talks on electoral reforms, saying he was only focused in spearheading development agenda.

"Kenyans want to see our country moving forward and that is the dialogue we want to participate in," he said about a week ago.

"It is time to work not engaging in talk," the President said, speaking during a funeral in Murang'a County.

But Wetang'ula said NASA was ready for talks with Jubilee on politics and not development.

"Development is the agenda of the government of the day, we are not ready to dialogue over it. If Uhuru wants to talk to the opposition he must be ready to talk politics," he said as quoted by Daily Nation.

He spoke while addressing journalists at his Kanduyi home in Bungoma County, Sunday evening.

The NASA co-principal added that for the country to move forward, bad politics must be fixed first.

"It is the politics of the day that determines the development of the day," the Senator noted.

At the same time Wetang'ula condemned recent killings of people by gangsters in Mt Elgon, calling on the government to deploy enough security agencies.
