Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula attacked President Uhuru Kenyatta for refusing to sign a bill on minerals into law.

Wetangula said if the National Super Alliance (Nasa) Raila Odinga becomes president after the August 8 polls, he will sign the bill in the first minutes of his leadership.

“In the first 10 minutes upon ascension to power (in 1998), Obama signed the Guantanamo Bay Bill into law. When Raila gets into office, the first thing he will do in the first ten minutes is sign the minerals bill,” Wetangula said.

Speaking during a Nasa campaign rally in Taita Taveta county, Friday, the Ford Kenya leader further blamed Kenyatta’s government for the increased corruption in the country.

“The money being stolen through corruption is enough to cater for the education for every Kenyan child right from primary to high school,” said Wetangula.
