Political analyst Martin Andati says Nasa co-principal Moses Wetangula is running for the Bungoma Senatorial seat to remain politically relevant.
He said Wetangula seeks to gain from either side of the coin by either being in the next government through Nasa or being in the Senate in case Nasa loses in the August polls.
"Wetangula wants to remain relevant politically and that is why he is running for the senate seat in Bungoma. In case Nasa loses in August, he will still be in the Senate but if it wins he will be in the government," said Martin.
Speaking during an interview, Tuesday, Martin further said all Cabinet Secretaries were equal and the move by Nasa to come up with a premier CS was against the constitution.
"The premier CS position does not hold any ground. This is because the constitution clearly stipulates that all Cabinet Secretaries are equal," added Martin.
