Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has said that investigating NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka is a waste of time.
According to Wetangula, the two NASA leaders are innocent.
The NASA co-principal was reacting to a recent directive by DPP Keriako Tobiko to investigate the two over threat to boycott the October 26 repeat polls.
“What Raila and Kalonzo have said is that they are not ready to go back to the elections if the field is still too bumpy, is that a crime?” he posed.
Speaking in Busia, Wetang’ula insisted the position by NASA that elections would not be conducted still stands unless the level playground is guaranteed.
“The irreducible minimum demands we gave to the electoral commission have not been met because we know what transpired during the August elections and that is what we are trying to fix through the demands we gave IEBC,” he said.
NASA has maintained that they will not take part in the polls unless a number of their demands are met.
