Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula has asked Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) Leader Raila Amolo Odinga not to interfere with politics of Western region ahead of August.

Wetangula, also NASA co-principal, called upon the former prime minister not to impose leaders on the people of Western region as he seeks to rise to power in August.

The legislator has insisted that his political outfit will continue to drum up support for Senator Boni Khalwale and other leaders in Ford Kenya eyeing different elective posts.

"We will support Raila as a community. Let us vote for NASA even if Musalia and I did not get the flag. For other seats, let Raila not impose leaders like Wycliffe Oparanya on us. We will campaign for Boni Khalwale and other Ford Kenya leaders," said Wetang'ula, also  Bungoma senator, as quoted by Standard.

His sentiments were reiterated by Khalwale who said that leaders from this part of the nation will organize their affairs themselves.

"We know how to plan for ourselves. We will not allow anybody to dictate for us. We have decided Raila will get our votes for the presidency but ODM will not get seats in the region," said Khalwale.

In the meantime, Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has maintained his ground over his differences with former vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. Muthama has threatened to reveal details that will shake the nation about Kalonzo.
