National Super Alliance(NASA) co-principal Moses Wetangula on Saturday missed a critical plenary meeting organised ahead of the coalition’s highly anticipated announcement on Tuesday.
Wetangula remained spent time at his home county, Bungoma attending a funerals service for victims of police brutality.
Siaya Senator James Orengo who chaired the Machakos meeting disclosed that the deliberations of the day involved charting the road-map for the People’s Assembly.
“It is a preparative meeting to establish a roadmap to establishing the People’s Assembly and also to make resolutions on very important matters to do with what has happened since August 8,” he said.
He lashed out at Kitui High Court for barring the county from passing the Peoples' Assembly Motion that was tabled recently.
Opposition chief Raila Odinga and ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi were present during the meeting that is being held at Maanzoni Lodge in Machakos County.
Also attending are NASA strategists David Ndii, Barrack Muluka and Abubakar Zain.
