Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula has said that he will not hesitate to share the details of any deal with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of 2022.
In an interview with a local daily, Wetangula said that he is still interested in the nation’s top seat. He said that Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga might have had good plans for the nation but he failed to divulge the details of their deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“They had gone to impress on the government to consider projects in the region before the budget was rolled out. When I make a deal with Ruto, it will not be a secret one,” Wetang’ula says.
He also maintained that his fallout with Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga has not left a bitter taste in his political career. Wetangula said that has decided to keep a low profile in NASA as he strategizes ahead of 2022. He also said that he intends to reach out to Kenyans as he seeks to ascend to power when that time comes.
“It is time to go flat out and endear me to Kenyans. The country will know a new and reinvigorated Wetang’ula,” he says.
He also said that he plans to build bridges with his enemies to secure his political future. The lawmaker has maintained that he has what it takes to rise to power.
“I will build bridges where none have existed before and engaged everyone to win the presidency or have enough support to help me partner with others,” he says.
