Ford Kenya Party leader and Cord Co-Principal, Moses Wetangula has planned a series of country-wide political rallies.
The rallies are to start from the Coast which is considered Raila Odinga's stronghold and conclude in Western as from next month (August) just a few days after ODM leader, Raila extensive Western tour in a bid to quell rebellion by disgruntled party members.
Wetangula who has declared his interest for the coalition's endorsement as it its presidential flag bearer next year, recently sparked a storm in the coalition when he claimed Raila's huge crowds in his Western rallies won't translate into votes but quickly blamed the media for misquoting him.
Wetangula's rallies are aimed at marketing his Ford Kenya Party and market him as the best Cord candidate for the presidency.
"I will embark on a countrywide tour starting August to popularise my party and underline my zeal to clinch the Cord presidential ticket," he said.
He will then head to Eastern and North Eastern regions.
In late August, he will move to Central and Rift Valley largerly considered President Kenyatta and DP Ruto's strongholds respectively.
"I will reach every part of Kenya to look for votes and sell my manifesto to Kenyans. I will also listen to your concerns and decide what is best for this country," he said.
The Bungoma Senator and his Wiper Party leader counterpart, Kalonzo Musyoka have already launched their presidential bid with the former's event which was held at Muliro Gardens in Kakamega being skipped by Cord Co-principal, Raila Odinga.
