Days after opposition leader Raila Odinga took a swipe on President Uhuru Kenyatta’ alleged drinking habit, co-principal Moses Wetangula evoked the debate adding that Uhuru is disrespectful to Kenyans.
Few hours after nullification of his victory, Uhuru addressed a rally at Burma market with opposition leaders and COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli questioning his mental status.
And at Nyamira on Tuesday Wetangula demanded that Uhuru apologizes to Kenyans for ‘lacking manners’ in public forums.
“It is lack of manners when Uhuru addresses Kenyans when visibly drunk. He is the president at the moment and we demand that he respects that office.
“Furthermore, he criticizes Chief Justice while standing next to William Ruto, a renowned thief. We want sober leaders and he should be ready to vacate office,” he said.
Throughout the tour in Gusii, thousands of NASA supporters held a placard condemning the president’s allegedly drinking habit.
Also, calls to have Chief Justice David Maraga and other Supreme Court judges respected dominated opposition’s tour in Gusii.
