Former Bumula MP Wakoli Bifwoli has questioned Moses Wetangula's suitability to be the opposition Cord coalition's flag bearer in the 2017 elections.
According to Bifwoli, should Cord nominate Wetangula to be the coalitions flag bearer, they risk losing the poll terribly to incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The ex-MP who has declared his allegiance to the newly formed Jubilee Party said Wetangula who is also the Bungoma Senator is not politically ripe to be entrusted with the country's leadership.
"Senator Wetangula is the weakest candidate that Cord can pick. How can he lead the nation yet he has not spelt out what he can offer in terms of development?" Bifwoli was quoted by the Daily Nation as saying.
He further urged the voters in the region to evaluate all the candidates for various seats before casting their ballots.
This comes at a time when there is sustained pressure from a section of Western Kenya Ford Kenya MPs on Moses Wetangula to make his stab at the presidency in 2017.
