Bungoma senator, Moses Wetang’ula is eying the presidential seat in the coming elections.
Few days after launching his presidential campaign amid chaos in Muliro Gardens, Kakamega, the senator has decided to speak out as to why he wants to be president. He said he is the best person to lead Kenya as the president and agreed to compete with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the coming elections.
‘‘I have seen how President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto are running the economy of this country and I think I am the best person to rectify this,’’ said the senator.
He also called on the CORD leaders, Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka to allow him to be the flag bearer of the coalition in 2017. He called on the the members to stand in unity saying that if they don’t, they will give Jubilee a direct win in the presidential elections.
‘‘I urge all leaders in CORD led by Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka to support my presidential dream. If all members of the coalition are united, then we will be in a better position to defeat the Jubilee team,’’ said Wetang’ula.
