Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula and Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa have differed over Jubilee’s scorecard.
Wetangula has dismissed claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have changed the lives of Kenyans.
The senator said that under the leadership of the two leaders the economy has suffered greatly as witnessed by the collapse of many industry in the his backyard as well as the entire nation.
He noted that the duo have done little to save Mumias Sugar Company, Nzoia Sugar Factory and Pan Paper industries among others.
“We have three main factories that have been the pillar of Western Kenya economy and that is Mumias Sugar Company, Nzoia Sugar Factory and Pan Paper but Jubilee has seen them crippling. Jubilee is telling you to vote them in so that they can revive the industries yet they have been in power and they did nothing. They have been in power and did nothing for this community,” said Mr. Wetangula, as quoted by Citizen Digital.
His remarks, however, did not go well with Water Cabinet Secretary Wamalwa, who said that the Jubilee administration had done much for the nation.
He noted that the head of State has revived many industries in the country since he ascended to power.
“The president will be in Webuye on Sunday to revive the second phase of pan paper. He will also bring cash to Nzoia sugar factory and help the mill that is crippling down to stabilize again. Jubilee has done so much to Kenyans compared with previous regimes,” said the CS.
