Bungoma Senator and Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula has said that he will not condone any kind of corruption should the Opposition coalition NASA win the presidency during the August polls.
The NASA co-principal made the remarks on Sunday during a political rally held at the Kapsabet Agricultural Grounds in a move aimed at wooing the locals to vote for the alliance.
He further accused the Jubilee adminstration of looting the public coffers and destabilising the country's economy.
“Even I will not tolerate my friend in NASA engaging in corruption. Jubilee have squandered large percentage of taxpayers’ money on corruption scandals and that is why the country is in so much trouble right now in terms of high living conditions,” he stated.
The lawmaker's remarks were echoed by Bomet governor Isaac Rutto, who called on the locals to vote out President Uhuru Kenyatta during the August polls, citing unfulfilled promises by the Jubilee adminstration in the run up to the 2013 general elections.
“Kenyans are even poorer today because of a failed government. Even when you come to Nandi nowadays there is no maize. They said they will tarmac 10,000 km roads, where are the roads now,” he said.
NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi attended the rally.
