Bungoma Senator and National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Moses Wetangula has cautioned Raila Odinga over his decision to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta and an attempt to remove him from the senate Minority seat.
Speaking in Kitui west on Monday during the campaign trail of Wiper Party’s candidate for the seat Edith Nyenze, Wetangula said that they will continue pushing for the agenda of NASA and that they will stick together regardless of actions of ‘others’.
“We said we wanted a national conversation and therefore we are telling our brother Raila that the dream of NASA is engraved in the minds of people and no amount of intimidation will change that,” Wetangula said.
The campaign was attended by other NASA Principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi who condemned the attempt by ODM party Senators to try to ouster Wetangula as the house’s Minority leader.
They said the action is not in good faith.“therefore, Raila has not said what the media are calling the ouster of Wetangula so that ODM can take that seat.
"We are still strong together. Our Senators don’t have any problem with anyone and therefore if anyone touches Wetangula, they have messed with Kalonzo and it’s the same for all the other Principals,” Kalonzo said.
ODM Senators will be looking to utilize their numerical strength in the house to decide whether to keep Wetangula as their leader or not.
