NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula maintains that their coalition will go on with the planned memorial service scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday.

Wetangula says the coalition will use legal and constitutional means to hold the prayer cum rally at the Jacaranda grounds.

Speaking in Bungoma, the NASA principal insisted they will go on with their plan, and nothing or no one will stop them.

“We must pray for change. On Tuesday, Uhuru Kenyatta will be sworn in at Kasarani, and us as NASA, we do not recognize him. We know that the October polls, here in Bungoma we had only 44,000 voters casting their vote, out of that, 34,000 came from Mount Elgon. The only vote from the Bungoma people, it was only 5,000,” said Wetangula.

Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome has warned NASA leaders and supporters against the rally, saying the only ceremony they have will be the swearing in of President Kenyatta.

The coalition will hold a memorial for those who lost their lives two weeks ago in Nairobi after a planned rally by the NASA turned chaotic.

During the incident, many were left dead with a trail of property destruction in most parts of the capital.
