Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula has affirmed that the Western region is a NASA zone.

This is after a section of Jubilee leader claimed that the region was now behind the ruling administration.

Speaking on Saturday during a funeral service in Bungoma, Wetangula said that the Jubilee administration has not initiated any tangible development projects in Western Kenya, terming the President Uhuru Kenyatta’s frequent visits to the region ‘a mere public relations exercise.

“We have three main factories that have been the pillar of Western Kenya economy and that is Mumias Sugar Company, Nzoia Sugar Factory and Pan Paper but Jubilee has seen them crippling. Jubilee is telling you to vote them in so that they can revive the industries yet they have been in power and they did nothing. They have been in power and did nothing for this community,” said Mr. Wetangula.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has in the recent past made visits to the Western region in a bid to popularise Jubilee.
