Sirisia MP John Waluke has dismissed claims by opposition coalition NASA that Bungoma County is a NASA stronghold.
Speaking on Tuesday at the Parliament Buildings, the ODM lawmaker who has since shifted allegiance to Jubilee observed that political dynamics have changed in the Western Kenya County.
He further claimed that the Opposition could lose most seats in Bungoma, including the senatorial seat that NASA co-principal and Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula is seeking to defend during the forthcoming polls.
"We have done our homework and challenge the Opposition...we are going to this election knowing the stakes it has. Bungoma is gone and it is gone to Jubilee," Waluke stated.
"NASA stronghold is a fallacy, it doesn't exist because Jubilee will capture 60 per cent of the votes in our view," he added.
Jubilee has been attempting to make inroads into the county through Waluke and governor Ken Lusaka.
