[Photo/ nation.co.ke]Bungoma gubernatorial aspirant Alfred Khang’ati has exuded confidence that Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula will defend the interests of the Mulembe Nation in NASA if the alliance ascends to power in the forthcoming general poll.Addressing residents during the homecoming party of Knut Bungoma North secretary Chrispinus Sifuna in Tongaren, Khang’ati said Wetangula is a fighter, adding that he will not allow anyone to intimidate his community as he sits back and enjoys parliamentary privileges. “I know Weta is a big fighter and will ensure Luhyas have a big say in that government,” he said, as quoted by The Star.Khang’ati called upon Wetangula and Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi to ensure they fight for ODM leader Raila Odinga until he rises to power in August.“We are asking Wetang’ula and Mudavadi to lead Luhyas and ensure they deliver in those positions so that Luhyas might endorse them for bigger posts in the 2022 general election,” he said.The governor hopeful further lauded the Coalition principals for picking Raila as the flag bearer, saying he is the perfect choice for the alliance.“I have worked with Raila in the office of the Prime Minister when I was the Internal Security minister. I know he is the best-suited to carry the mantle,” said Khang’ati.
