Addressing the electorate at Kyuso Stadium in former Mwingi North constituency, Wetangula called upon city dwellers to travel back to areas where they registered as voters in order to take part in this year’s elections.

He said that NASA supporters who will not take part in the election are indirectly handing over power to President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.

“If you have fled Nairobi or Mombasa to go and hide at your rural home, please go back and vote,” he said, as quoted by Star.

On his part, Kalonzo reminded the residents of the need to elect candidates contesting on Wiper Party. The NASA deputy president said that electing Wiper candidates will make him stronger in readiness for the 2022 presidential race.

“Since I will be the Deputy President of Kenya after the August 8 polls, failing to give me a Wiper governor, senator, woman representative, MPs and MCAs will make me appear like a man who is immaculately dressed in a suit but without underwear,” he said.
