NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula has made a passionate appeal to the government regarding safety of leaders.
Speaking on Wednesday, Wetangula said that the government should take the responsibility of protecting every citizen.
He was speaking at the home of Wiper leader Kalonzo after an alleged grenade attack.
"We regrettably urge the state that protecting leaders is not a priviledge it is a right. Protecting Kenyans is not a priviledge is it a legitimate right," Wetangula said.
The Bungoma Senator condemned the alleged attack stating that the government should take responsibility.
“This armed attack comes on the heels of security withdraw for all opposition leaders starting with Raila, Kalonzo, Mudavadi and myself. We will hold the state squarely responsible if any harm is done to Kalonzo or any of our leaders or any Kenyan,” said Wetangula.
The government has claimed that the alleged attack was fabricated.
