ODM plans to give the position to Siaya senator James Orengo.Led by Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati and Tongaren MP Dr Eseli Simiyu, the leaders accused ODM of bullying NASA affiliate parties, Ford Kenya, ANC and Wiper Democratic Movement.

Wangamati warned ODM against disrespecting Wetangula or other NASA leaders, saying they should leave the NASA coalition if they were ready to do so.

"We as Ford-Kenya were not invited in NASA or CORD. We were the founders of both coalitions and therefore we should be treated with respect," warned Wangamati, who is a close ally of Wetangula who is also the Bungoma senator.

"As people of Bungoma, we are behind Senator Moses Wetangula. If ODM wants a divorce from NASA, let them exit and leave us with NASA," he added on Friday.

On his part, Dr. Eseli said, "We are being underestimated as people of the western region, Wetangula and Mudavadi are our leaders and we won't let anyone insult them because insulting them is insulting us."

The duo were speaking during an education stakeholders forum at Nyange PAG Secondary School in Soysambu/Mitua ward.

Also present was area MCA Stephen Wamalwa who said that they would soon be building two boarding primary schools in the ward - one in Mitua and another in Soysambu.
